CARB. GL1200 INTERSTATE
wings are new to me. well road bikes period. big difference to off road. i am learning as i go and the book only give me so much info. so any help i can get will be appreciated.
on two of the carbs where the idle/air screws are, directly opposite from the ldle/air screws it looks like air ports but they are wide open. it looks almost like there should be a tube joining them together. is that the way they are suppose to be or is there suppose to be plug or a tube in there?
the other set of carbs has one with a plug and the other has a vacuum tube in it.

I believe those are just casting ports. If they were "open" as you say, you would have fuel leaking out, or a major vacuum leaks. There are transfer tubes, but they are located higher and toward the plenum.
