Leaking fuel
If the brakes are enough to stop ‘er, and you are just goin’ ‘round the block, she will run without the faux tank, engine guards and side covers. Besides, ridin’ the hood like that will bring out two kinds of neighbors…. 1. WOW, he must be good with tools cuz that looks like hell and yet he got ‘er ta run. And B. What an idiot! He doesn’t have ‘nuf common sense to put the thing together ‘fore goin’ for a ride. He’s gonna kilt himself! ( I am in the latter camp and now the whole neighborhood just caulks it up to, ‘He rides those dangerous motorcycles.’ Ha, water off a Duck.)

BTW, check your connections and fastener tightness one more time just to make sure you did not rush during half time.
