i'm thinking of purchasing this bike from private seller with 59K miles. Its really clean looking and wanted to know what other concerns(mechanically) should I be looking at before purchasing the bike. It seems well taken care of by the current owner.

how much mechanical knowledge do you possess?
i would want to check out the electrical system first,age and condition of tires are a concern

is it something that you will maintain or a dealer or shop??

if you can find a forum member that lives close you mightask for some help from him

appearances on a 24 ys old bike aren't always the biggest concern

Is there any logged maintenance history from the seller, that can tell a lot about what has been done to the bike. I would make sure it is charging and runs good. You are buying a older bike and will most likely have to do some work on it. Check the exhaust, tires and cosmetics. It is always a good idea to put it on the center stand and check the back wheel for slop in the swing arm and play in the drive train.
