How dop I make the old 1200 Panasonic radio sound better
Does your new unit have Intercom and interconnection with a CB?

Had my Aspy for 25 years its worked in all kinds of weather, it is adequate for me, sure it could do with an MP3 input but I get that nicely with an Audiovox FM modulator.
The only stupid questions are the one's that are not asked.

don't have cb or intercom so don't miss it,and yes it has full function remote which is now handle bar mounted also has aux input for satellite or mp3 players didn't have problems with panasonic's loudness and most likely wouldn't have changed it if I could have had more control of tone ,I found it just hurt my ears to listen to it.....way to much treble

Why don't you ride up to Baltimore for the GL1200 get together in August and show us how it looks and sounds. Here's the details on the event: <!-- m --><a class="postlink" href="http://gl1200goldwings.com/viewtopic.php?f=78&t=7964">http://gl1200goldwings.com/viewtopic.php?f=78&t=7964</a><!-- m -->

Hey there can you give a bit more detail on the stereo change? How did you rework the wiring and do the handlebar controls all still work? Am considering the same route for my 85 GL...

the handlebar controls are not gonna work w/o the panasonic radio best thing you could do is upgrade to better speakers,Polk DB-401's work well and use a cassete adapter where you can plug in an mp3 player or something,my itouch works well in this situation

there are several version of the RM panasonic radio too, have found that the RM1200,1300 and 1400 seem to have better reception then the 1100 even after sierra has "fixed" and tuned up all the units

with LTD it really helps if the auto volume control in the travel computer works too.in essence its the same auto volume as the aspy's have but with a fader control for the rear speakers
