Will fit all 84 - 87 but be aware that the CB is comprised of many components that make the CB function. For some reason I can't get the picture of the components to appear. Maybe Tricky will be along to illustrate the five major components of the CB radio.

The Interstate wasnt supplied with a CB.

That being said, it could have been installed by a previous owner or as an option when it was purchased.

IF your installing a CB you definitely need to know which components your buying.

It could have been from an 84 who knows, the switches are different than that of the 85 and later models.

Is this a complete unit or just the CB, usually what happens when the fleabay rippoff artists rip a bike apart, they sell everything separately hoping to garnish as much money from unsuspecting buyers.

Beware.

If I wanted a CB today, I would be tempted to install an after market model from such like as Sierra

OF course making sure it would be compatable with my existing radio etc.

Just a thought
The only stupid questions are the one's that are not asked.

thanks very much all. for the sound advice,

yes the transceiver, and the wiring, with the mulitchanger, etc are being sold separately, which does look
in pretty good condition.

reading all the great advice from you all, I now have the schematics for the cb unit, and going by photos, it does look
very much like the one that would fit, I needed to ask you folks to make sure.

I appreciate you time,

many thanks,

robbie

thanks Tricky, I thought of going the JM route, or as you suggest the sierra cb, but i like the idea, of all the audio
being intergrated, so decided to go with the OEM version.

as suggested, I will be careful dealing on ebay.

many thanks,

Robbie
