wiring
I'm sure this has been asked a million times, but I can't help myself. Were is the best place to wire IG\L leads that won't strain other systems? 1985 Interstate

Thank you, I already have a aftermarket sterio wired there and was concerned that it might pickup noise . I guess I'll find out huh.

i already have my foglights,HID lightning and other relays triggered from there so it shouldn't be a problem those are only ma sourced users

and besides if it got technical you could always double engineer it so that a relay when energized really sourced back to the battery direct thru another fuse....kinda like running around in circles

Update: I found that several wires went hot leading to the old reg\rec when I turned the key on. I just tied into a couple of those. Thankyou for your input neoracer.

Since you said "old reg/rec", I'm assuming you have an external alternator and the regulator is no longer installed?
If that's the case, check your wires again. There should be only one wire that is energized with the key "on". The black wire.
