You'll have to wait for precise dimensions Angela, too cold outside in the garage but approximate dimensions are 4"I.D. and the stainless tube is food grade if that helps. The reason for food grade is so that I can grille foot long hot dogs on the new extensions.

Give me another hour and I'll be sawing logs with a chainsaw as my wife so kindly says's.

It's wonderful to see the snow starting to melt. Just a few days ago I had 4 feet of snow in my driveway. It sure gave my snowblower a lot of work to do. Did I mention that I hate snow.

Spring is a coming.

I have often thought about going out there myself. Seeing the mountains, looking out at the ocean and nice walks through Stanley park are wonderful treats for the soul but I've got children and grand children and I can't afford to move them all out there with me, but, maybe someday.

Now I'm in tune with you.

Why don't you check out a few local fabrication shops and see if they can help you with something like that. This time of year most shops are hungry for jobs. I bet they could come up with something similar for you at a much reduced price.

Check it out and let us know what you find.

I'm thinking that if you bring in pictures or drawings to the fabrication shop they should be able to do it up for you for approximately $500.- $600.

Make sure you check with at least three fabricators before you settle on a price and also make certain that they understand your needs clearly upfront.

I like your BMW idea but it's so expensive.

I still have the stock mufflers but I did pick up a set of road king mufflers that may go on the 1200, or maybe my project, or heck, when I need to replace the stock pipes on my road king

One of the things I liked best about the gl1200 is how quiet they were/are, with the OEM mufflers, but the two of the three I've looked at l were quite noiser than they used to be... The one was quiet but didnt run well.
