Intake noise

This past sat. I overreved my 86 wing, it still runs fine, but I noticed that I have an intake noise coming from around the carb area. I took the filter off and inspected around that area and can not tell were the noise is coming from.
Any ideas?

Try and use a wood stick (such as a broom handle) and hold it to your ear as you move the end around to different locations. Works very well for more common noises(ticking tapping) but might work in this case as well.

I use a piece of plastic tubing to listen through. Makes it a lot easier to "isolate" the noise. And a lot easier to get into those tight spots.
