Extentions all have long insert into muffler?
[attachment=1][attachment=1][attachment=0]

Does the LTD stock mufflers have this insert on them? Can I put these mufflers on my LTD and put the LTD origonal turn downs on these mufflers? When I pull the tips off they will also have this insert?

The stock mufflers have a baffle that is held in by a pop rivet, after 20 odd years it might be in there solid.
I had the exact same type of downturn installed on my bike about 18 years ago, they lasted about 4 years and then trapped moisture rotted out the muffler where the tapered section is fastened to the round section.
I chucked them in the garbage and made up a set of my own from exhaust parts from an auto parts shop.
Don't look perfect but you cant see them anyway unless you lie down on the ground and you only see a small tip at the back peeping out from under the light bar.

That is why I want to put the stock extentions back on, the stock ones are not rusted, but the rest of the system is.

If you already have an extension on then the pop rivet will have already been removed, you might see the hole where they had been if you can see the flared and of the muffler underneath and it hasnt been covered up by the extension.
