terrible noise
Satch Wrote:has intercom no CB

Does the noise come over the headsets as well as through the speakers?

Have you gone into the left side of the fairing and checked all the connectors there?

A lot of problems with the radio can only be found by either substituting a known good radio to see if the problem is "the radio" or another part of the system.

The antenna cabling is not a one piece to the radio, there is a short senction of antenna cable from the plug behind the radio that is either located inside the left pocket or as in my case just outside the fairing.

I am not certain about this, but if you remove the radio and look at the plug it fits into the radio, the antenna connection might be the round pin on the right upper side.
The only stupid questions are the one's that are not asked.

I'm with Tricky, if there's another Wing with a working radio close by swap in the radio and see if you get the same results in the other bike and vice versa it'll sure save you a lot of headaches. If you have a Gold Book use that to find someone.
