Howdy to all, and a big "Thank You!" to Vic for this terrific site! I am the 3rd owner (I think) of an '85 Interstate that I purchased 5 years ago. It had 21k on it and I've only managed to put on another 14k on it in that time, but they have been enjoyable and trouble-free. I've done a lot of work on it (carb rebuild, Progressive front springs, caliper rebuilds, new steering stem bearings, stator harness, and a marine AM/FM/CD) and plan on doing the alternator conversion as well as stainless braided brake lines in the near future. I admit that I like working on it as much as riding! There's little doubt that this site will be invaluable down the road!
