Help, radio wizards!
My old wing didn't have a radio when I bought it. The previous owner installed a CB. I hooked up the FM/AM to the CB antenna.....the FM works but the AM doesn't. Can anyone tell me why?

I would suspect the radio itself, not the hookup to the CB antenna, most good radios will receive AM with no antenna or at least almost no antenna. Maybe you could unhook the CB antenna, and put a 4' piece of wire in the plug and see if the radio will work then,

There is nothing special about a receiving antenna, but a transmiting antenna must be properly matched to the radio to work well.

Thank you, Sir. I got some reception after finding a bad connection, too.
