my speaker covers have badly worped from our winter sun. i want to make some out of wood. does anyone have one in good condition that you would trace and jot down the mesuremnts so i can make a pattern?

You can use a heat gun to possibly restore them to their original shape.

i'm going to try the heat gun soon, just trying to figure safest way so i don't ruin them more. in the mean time i am working on making some out of wood.

dont hold the heat gun too close, warm the cover slowly, it will soften, lay them on a flat surface, if they are very bad press them very lightly between two pieces. slowly does it.

Wait till the wife leaves the house and throw them in the oven to warm them up. :lol:
Seriously though, start low on the heat and they should get pliable enough to flatten out on a cookie sheet. Works with most pvc plastics. When she complains about the funny smell, tell her you tried out a new recipe. :oops:
